Shantell Byrd, ACSW
Ms. Byrd is a registered associate clinical social worker who uses empathy in conjunction with evidence-based interventions to help her clients successfully navigate challenges. She employs a variety of therapeutic modalities in her clinical work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Harm Reduction for substance use, among others. Ms. Byrd is skilled at leveraging each client’s unique strengths and personality to develop tailored coping strategies and effective solutions.
Ms. Byrd has a special interest in working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and / or lifestyle transitions. Additionally, Ms. Byrd is experienced in crisis assessment and intervention, with a focus on suicide prevention. In her clinical work, Ms. Byrd fosters a safe and supportive environment where her clients can explore thoughts and emotions, set achievable goals, and cultivate resilience.
Ms. Byrd earned her bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from the University of Connecticut and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California.
