Shantell Byrd, ACSW
Hi there! As a therapist with a background in social work, I am committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with empathy and evidence-based interventions. I have worked with various modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, harm reduction approach for substance use, etc., which I use to help clients develop coping skills and tap into their unique strengths and resources.
I have a particular interest in working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and lifestyle transitions, and I am experienced in crisis assessment and intervention, with a focus on suicide prevention. In my practice, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, set achievable goals, and build resilience. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I work closely with each client to tailor interventions to their unique needs and strengths.
I earned my B.A. in Human Development/Family Studies and Psychology from the University of Connecticut, and M.S.W. in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I look forward to joining you on your journey towards personal growth.
