Lourdes Soliven, AMFT
Ms. Soliven is a compassionate and dedicated bilingual (English-Tagalog) registered associate marriage and family therapist. Her guiding motto is, "you'll never know what you can do unless you give all you can to find out"; this reflects Ms. Soliven's strong belief in the power of self-understanding and its impact on our interactions with others and life's challenges. By integrating Psychodynamic Theory with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Ms. Soliven gains a deep understanding of her clients' backgrounds and helps them recognize how their past experiences influence their present actions and decisions.
In addition to her primary theoretical model, Ms. Soliven has received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective treatment for clients with PTSD. She also incorporates a range of other theoretical models such as Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems, Inner Child Work, Structural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Ms. Soliven holds a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Hope International University in Fullerton, where she received training to conduct both secular and Christian-based therapy. She warmly welcomes clients dealing with various challenges including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood and personality disorders, substance abuse disorder, postpartum, marital/relational conflict, and parenting.
