Dr. Shirin Ghannadi, Psy.D.
Looking closer at what causes us distress can feel scary or overwhelming. However, I believe we all have the capacity to change and grow if provided with the right support and tools. Whether you are having difficulty in your job, your relationship, or with friends and family, we can work together to come up with solutions that are right for you. I can teach you skills to manage your daily struggles, and I strive to provide a safe and welcoming place for clients of diverse cultural backgrounds.
In addition to providing evidenced based and solution focused treatment, I also offer psychological testing for diagnostic clarification and to help with treatment planning; I test for a range of diagnoses including: anxiety disorders, ADHD, mood and personality disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, and trauma-related disorders.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have extensive and diverse therapy and assessment training, with emphasis on behavioral and emotion regulation issues. I earned my Psy.D. from the APA accredited American School of Professional Psychology in Orange, California. I conducted my internship at Springfield Hospital Center, a state forensic psychiatric hospital in Sykesville, Maryland. Throughout my graduate and professional training, I have developed a strong interest in working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
I offer free phone consultations to determine if I can provide services that meet your needs and answer any questions you have about therapy or assessment.
