Ashley Kretzschmar, LMFT
Ms. Kretzschmar (pronounced “Krech-mar”) is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 13 years of clinical experience and a broad range of additional training and credentials. She fosters an open, non-judgmental, environment where her clients feel secure and comfortable. Utilizing her deep knowledge of therapeutic treatment modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic theory, and others, Ms. Kretzschmar helps her clients develop positive coping strategies, resolve communication problems, and gain valuable insights into meaningful life patterns.
Ms. Kretzschmar has successfully assisted clients struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, codependency, marital conflict, grief, trauma, and more. As a Christian, Ms. Kretzschmar recognizes the importance of spiritual health, alongside mental and physical health, as an integral part of the complete person; she incorporates all these domains of health to increase her clients’ awareness, skill base, and resiliency to life’s challenges.
Ms. Kretzschmar earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Hope International University; she has continued her post-license professional training with certifications, seminars, and conferences on evidence-based therapeutic modalities. As an expert psychotherapist, Ms. Kretzschmar directs a portion of her professional schedule to training and supervising associate psychotherapists.
