Jacquelyn Gordon, AMFT
Ms. Gordon holds a Master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to her therapeutic work. She is experienced in providing support to children, adolescents, and adults seeking to enhance their lives and overall well-being. With a focus on empathy and a safe, supportive environment, Ms. Gordon encourages clients to explore their authentic selves and gain a deeper understanding of their experiences.
Ms. Gordon specializes in working with individuals facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relational issues. Using a strengths-based, holistic approach, she considers the various systems that impact her clients’ lives, including mind, body, spirit, community, and access to resources. Her therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help clients identify and reframe thought patterns, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to develop skills in emotion regulation, interpersonal communication, and mindfulness.
Ms. Gordon enjoys using creative approaches, such as art and expression-based exercises, particularly with children and creatively inclined adults. In all her work, Ms. Gordon is dedicated to helping clients foster resilience, develop practical skills, and view challenges through a fresh and transformative lens.
